Seasons Greetings to All,
I intended to start this blog when I began my Crossfit training a seven weeks ago, however I was waiting to see if I would actually stick with the program. Well, so far I have stuck with the program and not only am I sticking to it...I'm ADDICTED to it! Isn't it strange how people can fall in love with torturing themselves? I took the liberty of pasting Wikipedia's defenition of crossift below to give you an idea of the neurotic workouts that all crossfitters undergo, day in and day out.
"CrossFit is a strength and conditioning brand that combines weightlifting, sprinting, gymnastics, powerlifting, kettlebell training, plyometrics, rowing, and medicine ball training.[1] CrossFit contends that a healthy, fit person requires proficiency in each of ten general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.[2] It defines fitness as increased work capacity across all these domains and says its program achieves this by provoking neurologic and hormonal adaptations across all metabolic pathways."
As you probably read in the description of my blog, I was in HORRIBLE shape...but don't worry, there has been improvement, I've upgraded to being in TERRIBLE SHAPE. It wasn't until I read the definition that I realized that I SHOULDN'T BE CROSSFITTING!!!. I'm not a heatlhy, fit person and I', defintely sub-par when it comes to the physical skills I've highlighted in red, but you know what....I'm doing it and so can you!
